FORTY QUEST YEARS (1989~1999)
1989
There was an RC (Representative Committee) and Service Groups Investiture. On Speech Day, Dr Ow Chin Hock, the Guest-of-Honour, unveiled
Mr Sairi Bakari's ''~s~iratIons" plague.
The School won $3,000 for the National Mural Competition. The Christian Home for the Aged was officially adopted by the Community Service Club.
1990
Mrs Goh Soon Geem became the new Principal of the school.
There was a Holiday English Literature Programme for pupils, and in November, a three-day seminar on "Society Before Self' was conducted for Secondary 2 and 3 pupils. There were trips to Cameron Highlands and Gunung Tahan.
1991
The Peer Support Programme was initiated. The School's Sports Day was held at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Chan Shuling of Secondary One was presented on AIA Award for her community spirit.
1992
On 14 March, staff attended a workshop on Team Building. A programme to keep pupils trim and fit was embarked upon. Pupils also went on a trip to Kukup.
1982
The school's magazine celebrated the school's 25th Anniversary by looking back at its twenty five years of achievements.
In April 1982, the new principal of the school was Mr Wong Chong Heng.
1993
The School is now known as Queenstown Secondary School. The school moved at the end of the year to 369 Commonwealth Avenue, a holding site.
The old site was to be demolished and re-built.
1994
Mrs Chia Siew Yong became the new principal of the school.
The "South Pacific" Dinner Musical was performed on 10 November at the Mandarin Hotel. The cast of the musical appeared on AM Singapore.
Tee Bee Wah was awarded the SYF's Certificate of Distinction with Honours for her pyrography "Sorting the Catch."
The last batch of Pre-University students took the GCE 'A' Level Examinations.
Pupils were attached to Toa Payoh Hospital and Shangri-La Hotel for the Work Experience Programme in November.
1995
On 11 March, the Walk-a-Jog Cum Food Fair Fund Raising was held.
In June, a group of pupils went to England on an educational tour while another went to West and Central Java.
All teachers attended a Peak Performance Workshop at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
On 16 September, the Ground-breaking Ceremony took place on the old site.
Prefects were issued their own special ties.
On 10 November, the Alumni Dinner Cum Band Concert was held at the Oberoi Imperial Hotel.
Nineteen pupils went on a Work Experience Programme with Singapore Airlines and Toa Payoh Hospital in December.
1996

Secondary 2 pupils were selected to perform at the National Stadium for the National Day Mass Drama.
There were educational trips to Sarawak and Thailand during the June holidays.

1997
The Thinking Programme for Secondary One Express and Normal Academic Classes was implemented in January. The Peer Tutoring for Science and Mathematics Graduating Classes was also initiated. Pupils began to wear their uniforms with the QUEST labels sewn on them.
The Handover Ceremony was held on 30 May at the new site while the Symbolic Move was carried out the following day. The Megamove began on 4 June to the $20.2 million new school.
1998

The school has come a long way since 1956. We have excelled both in the academic field and in extra-curricular activities. Queenstown - the pioneer technical school - has a history and a heritage we can be proud of.
